Intro

In 1999 NIKEiD was created—the first online sneaker customization experience. Seventeen years later, thanks to the development of new technologies, we had the opportunity to rethink how the user interacts with the platform outside the NIKEiD site.

NIKEiD VR Studio is a virtual reality experience that brings personalization to life in an innovative, intimate, and otherworldly way. Users “make” their sneakers at a retail store by grabbing colors from animated palettes of fabrics, laces, soles, and swooshes. Once they finish the experience, they receive an email where they can view their creation and access nike.com to buy it.
