Intro

Some of the most unparalleled expressions of music across genres have been created by black artists. From songs that build community and anthems that comment on political resistance to artists who have made us listen, sing out loud and dance to their beat. This year, for Spotify's ongoing Black History Is Now campaign, we are celebrated some of the phenomenal songs and artists that shape culture on a global scale. 

The campaign culminated in a three-day immersive exhibit-style pop-up at 109 Wooster St in SoHo. Presenting 16 defining songs and 17 phenomenal women, the press preview and consumer weekend featured storytelling by music journalist, Jewel Wicker, surprise merch drops, performances, and interactive elements for over 7,000 guests.
